Lifting Equipment Test Engineer
Due to an uplift in business, European Management & Marine Corporation, a leading provider of lifting and marine mooring equipment is seeking a Lifting Equipment Test Engineer.
Job Purpose - To refurbish, inspect and conduct thorough examinations of lifting machines and lifting accessories including proof load tests.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct statutory thorough examinations of lifting machines, lifting accessories and other equipment in accordance with works instructions.
- Prepare, conduct, and dissemble equipment required for proof load tests.
- Complete paperwork and LOLER reports.
- Interface with customers regularly.
- Interpret technical drawings.
- Calculate sling assembly lengths and working load limits.
- Advise customers of expected delivery dates and provide updates.
- Maintain a current knowledge of product knowledge, capabilities, and developments.
- Provide technical assistant to customers.
- Out of hours working may be required to cover the needs of the business.
- Any other relevant duties as directed by line management.

QHSE Responsibilities

- Conduct pre-use checks of equipment.
- Follow HSE, Quality Policy and relevant procedures.
- Prevent unsafe acts and promote Safety Observation System.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives.
- Intervene & manage unsafe acts.
- Support the overall QHSE culture.
- Report all accidents & incidents immediately.
- Adhere to and enforce the PPE Policy.
